sinfines_arquimedes_1The shaftless ARQUIMEDES® screw is the only way to transport large loads and varied granula sized products. There are many notable differences between the ARQUIMEDES® and the standard shafted screw and the shaftless screw. The difference to the standard shaftless screw is that it is not necessary to supplement the screw when it is working in an inclined position. The ARQUIMEDES® screw can be manufactured in any dimension, diameter, pitch, thickness and WING HEIGHT.

The difference to the Standard shafted screw is that the ARQUIMEDES® allows for a higher transporting load without the risk of the product backing up or blocking. Its’ main difference is that it doesn’t require intermediate supports and that compared to a standard shafted screw the ARQUIMEDES® screw works at lower revolutions.

 
The ARQUIMEDES® can be manufactured in many different thickness that vary between 10mm and 60mm.
 

The ARQUIMEDES® screw is most suited to the transport of:

-Humid materials
-Vicious materials
-Irregular products
-Vaulted products
-Fibrous materials
-Semi-fluid materials
And in all other cases where a hygienic method of transport is required.

The markets where the ARQUIMEDES® screw are usually used include the waste water treatment sector, pumice transport, incinerators, cement plants, paper and cellulose factories, agro alimentary industries, meat and slaughterhouse industries, chemicals etc.

The quality of the screw is in ST.52 (UNE F-1515) STAINLESS STEEL (AISI 304/316) and the length depends on the clients needs.

Presentation 

The standard Screw is manufactured in a special rolling machine which transforms a strip of iron into a continuous screw in one piece with the Diameter, pitch and thickness required to fit into the tube of a helicoidal conveyors.

The standard Screw is produced via a cold rolling patented process which increases the mechanical characteristics of the material.

The screw (1) is conical in the transverse section. The inside thickness is approximately twice as thick as the exterior thickness.

It is currently the most economic option available on the market. To ensure a quick delivery to the client, we have various sizes in stock both with or without inner tube/shaft.

Helicoidal Srews

 

Standard Screws
The screws with the pitch the same as the diameter are considered standard. They are appropriate for a variety of materials and for most uses.

Arquímedes® shaftless screw
It is the most appropriate screw for use in the paper and cellulose industry, incinerators, meat industries and slaughterhouses, with chemicals, agricultural products and waste water treatment plants.

Conical Screw
They are used in feeders to ensure the uniform distribution of the product.

Screw with double or triple pitch
The double or triple pitch screw is ideal for the elevation of liquid products.

Reduced pitch Screw
They are recommended for inclined or vertical applications. The short pitch slows the flow of the materials.

Screw with radios
Especially for transporting sticky materials.
The space in between the screw and the tube eliminates to build up of material.

Multiple strip Screw
The Screw consists of 2 or more strips of different diameters and different sides both mounted on the same tube or shaft using rigid support bars. The material moves forward due to the helicoidal movement and backwards due to the other strip ensuring an extensive and positive mixture.

Excellent to heat, cool or ventilate light substances. The double segments lift and irrigate the material.

The screws are used for the extraction of hopper contents and for free flow.

Spirals

The spirals are individual spirals that are manufactured from a sheet of iron and formed into a spiral or helix of the required diameter and pitch to fit into the conveyor tube.

The spirals can be supplied in various different types of materials*, in different thickness from 2mm to 50mm and various diameters and pitches. The spirals are the same thickness in the cross section.

* The materials used for manufacturing can be carbon steel, stainless steel, hard wearing steel etc.
