Rotary sieve

The rotary sieve is an equipment intended for the sieving of liquids, in general to carry out a solid-liquid separation, its use is common in countless industrial applications. Its features give it high performance, being a self-cleaning operating equipment capable of operating for long periods of time carefree.
These sieves can be manufactured in different diameters and lengths, according to customer’s requirements and flow rate, the connections and the material discharge being variable. They can also be designed to be placed in different positions (horizontal, vertical or inclined), depending on the installation where its final assembly is engineered. As option and depending on the installation, they can be supplied integrated to other machines such as a compactor conveyor.

Machine elements

External part
It consists of a rectangular shaped structure of variable dimensions and thickness. Inside there are two separate zones, one for silts with liquid and one for liquid only.
It can be manufactured in different materials: carbon steel, stainless steels, high resistance steels, etc. It has one or more inlets for liquids and an outlet for liquids with spillway plus an outlet for silts.
Filter cylinder
It is the main component of the equipment, constituting the screening of liquids. The cylinder is formed by a mesh of continuous groove, forming a helical coil, with profiles of triangular section electrowelded at each point of contact with the support rods. The distance between the triangular profiles determines the clearance, the precision of the openings of the groove accurately limits the size of the particles that will be admitted through the filter surface.
The most common construction materials are stainless steels, aisi-304 stainless steel, aisi-316 stainless steel, and aisi-316L stainless steel.
Manhole or inspection cover
It is used to inspect the operation of the machine. This can be screwed on or with a quick opening for functional inspection. In any case, contact with entrapment points will be avoided by placing fixed screwed guards, in the form of a cover or a grid (considering the opening space according to the UNE EN ISO
13857 standard).
On demand, we can place a stop device on the inspection cover to avoid manipulation of the material or to have access when the screw is running
Covers
In the upper part of the external body one or more covers are placed, usually made of the same quality material of the trough or tube.
These covers allow the disassembly and assembly of the filter cylinder, as well as assembling the rolling system and multiple options.
Scraper
It is in charge of cleaning the particles deposited on the surface of the drum and leading them to the discharge tray.
The standard high-density polyethylene material, being a material that is easy to adapt to the cylindrical surface and is highly resistant to wear, acts by means of pressure-adjustable springs which provide constant pressure at all times.
