Shaftless screw grit classifier

Designed for the separation and cleaning of sand and grit. A grit classifier is commonly used to separate sand, grit and solid debris and to extract liquids with an auger conveyor.
During the extraction process, grit and dirt from organic residues can be removed through pulverisation with water during the transportation process (which has the effect of returning organic material to the liquid deposits). Separation is achieved by gravity when the sand goes above the water level. A key role in maximizing dehydration plays the combination of the speed of the spiral and the length of the conveyor auger above the water level.
Advantages of using a shaftless screw grit classifier:
Low operational cost
  • Augers without bearings
  • Compact and robust design
  • Gearbox motor mounted on the easily accessible side
Efficiency
  • The combination of material ilet design, tank shape and conveyor helps minimize turbulence in the quiet zone and improves performance
  • The overflow spillway design helps prevent solids jamming and clogging
Applications
  • For the treatment of municipal and industrial water and waste water
